Repurposed Art Workshop

Do you wish you knew how to repurpose more? Do you wish you were more creative? Then this is the workshop for you!

A brief presentation about the benefits of repurposing and recycling will precede a discussion and demonstration of commonly discarded household things that can be used to make gifts, games, and decorative items. The art workshop will follow.

Details:

  • Suited for Scouts, environmental clubs, schools, churches, women’s clubs, civic groups, and friends and family groups
  • Ages: 12 and over
  • Workshop available in most North Dallas and Collin County cities
  • Participants will “make and take” 3 – 4 items, depending on time allotted (unfinished items may be taken home to complete)
  • All tools and repurposed materials will be supplied
  • Location for the workshop to be provided by the scheduling group
  • Minimum number of attendees: 10
  • Maximum number: 25
  • Length of workshop: approximately 1 to 1½ hours

Service Project Workshop

Does your group have a passion for serving others? This workshop teaches how to make gifts that are guaranteed to warm hearts and show others you care about them! Assistance will be provided in making multiples of one or two repurposed crafts*, suitable for donations to:

  • Nursing homes
  • Homeless shelters
  • Children’s hospitals
  • Veteran’s hospitals
  • Service men and women overseas

*Items to be made need to be discussed and decided before the workshop.

Fundraising Workshop

Need an eco-friendly fundraiser for your group? I have tested fundraising projects for level of difficulty, cost, and practicality. Contact me to discuss projects proven successful with other groups. Full instructions will be provided at the workshop.

DIY Eco-Friendly/Organic Products Workshop

Sniffing, sneezing, itching skin? Think you may be exposed to too many chemicals in your home or office? This workshop presents the benefits of using chemical-free products for your home and personal use, and provides a demonstration of how to make several tested-and-tried products.

Details:

  • Suited for churches, women’s clubs, and civic groups
  • Ages: Adult
  • Workshop available in most North Dallas and Collin County cities
  • Participants will receive “recipes” of products demonstrated
  • Location for the workshop to be provided by the scheduling group
  • Minimum number of attendees: 10
  • Maximum number: 25
  • Length of workshop: approximately 1 to 1½ hours

Note the workshops are offered a month prior to the holiday(s).

  • May – Father’s Day (mid-June date varies)
  • June – 4th of July, Summer Olympics
  • August – Back-to-School projects, Teacher Appreciation gifts
  • September – Halloween (Oct 31)
  • October – Thanksgiving (date varies)
  • November –  Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa

Keep in mind that every day of the year is dedicated to a “cause” or “theme.” Most of them can be easily incorporated into repurposed art workshops:
